“With a deep love of the ocean, we wanted to create an ocean-inspired shoot. We ended up creating a Design and Mood Board that pays homage to the Baltic Sea. With shades of lavender, mauve, and grays, everything came together beautifully. We wanted to incorporate oceanic textures, so we brought in sand, wood, various types of coral, oyster shells (even in the form of sugar oyster shells on the cake!), fan palms, and ceramic plates from Anthropologie fit for a mermaid. The bride wore the same dress Hayley Paige designed for her own wedding (aptly named the Hayley)… an amethyst-colored dress with long sleeves, beaded and embroidered details, an illusion neckline, and a full tulle skirt with cathedral train. We custom-made a coral and gemstone tiara for her to wear. The end result of the inspiration shoot was one of elegance with a little bit of edginess for the bride and groom who love the ocean just as much as we do.”
