Before you trust us with your wedding stationery, you probably want to know what we’re all about. Well here it goes…

We’re a team of five ladies — plus a baby and two dogs.

We have two studios and we take paper seriously.

When you give us a call, you’ll most likely be greeted by Barbara, our customer service goddess. She’s a 2-time mother of the bride, so she totally gets all the wedding fun (and chaos). She’s available Monday through Friday to help you with anything from scheduling an appointment to understanding the correct etiquette for addressing your envelopes.

Speaking of scheduling an appointment, there are three ways you can work with us…

1. Meet in person at our headquarters in Center Moriches, New York. This is where the magic happens. Here we do everything from meet with clients to tie bows around your freshly printed menus. We have appointments available in Center Moriches Monday through Saturday. If you book an appointment here, you’ll most likely meet with Tara. She has tons of patience (so if you’re an indecisive bride or groom, don’t worry, you’re in good hands) and is a wizard when it comes to color.

2. Meet in our studio in Mineola, New York. Call or visit our online scheduling tool for availability. If our Mineola studio is more convenient for you, you’ll most likely meet with our Creative Director, Katie. She’s been obsessed with fine printing since college when she first laid eyes on a vintage letterpress. She has a special love for typesetting and adores helping clients find the perfect pretty fonts for their invitations.

3. “Meet” virtually via video conference. Over-scheduled? Live out of town? Just don’t feel like changing out of your sweatpants to attend another wedding appointment? WE GET IT. We offer video consultations to make your life easier. Learn more about the process.

Once we find your perfect wedding stationery and your order is placed, our Art Director, Carissa jumps in on the fun. She’s a super talented designer and the friendly face behind most of our emails. She’ll take you by the (virtual) hand and walk you through the proofing process to ensure your save the dates, invitations and day-of stationery look perfect before they go to press.

And last but certainly not least, we have our founder, Pam. She’s the mastermind behind Fat Cat Paperie (and our parent company Fat Cat Graphics). Maybe the best way to tell you about Pam is to explain how Fat Cat got its name (a question we’re asked ALL THE TIME). Well, almost two decades ago, before Fat Cat was Fat Cat, Pam and her husband were sitting in their apartment wondering what to call her stationery studio brainchild. You do all kinds of silly things when you’re trying to name something, right? So naturally they were looking around the room for interesting (and not so interesting) words. Thus began the game of “Pink Wall Paperie,” “Red Wine Paperie,” and so on. Finally, their chubby cat wandered into the room and “Fat Cat Paperie” was born.
