The stationery industry’s equivalent of Christmas rolled around last week. As we do every year, the Fat Cat Team (minus Pam) made our annual pilgrimage to the city to give our vendors hugs and see all the new paper goodies at the National Stationery Show.
Breakfast at the Bella Figura Invitational
We started with a trip to Drift Studio to meet the Bella Figura crew. We were greeted by Debi Zeinert and Sarah Hanna. These oh-so-talented calligraphers penned our names in the loveliest white and gold inks. Seriously I could watch them work their magic all day.
The stationery show happened to land days before my anniversary so I brought this gem home to celebrate.
We loved browsing all the new designs. It’s so fun choosing which beauties will be added to our collection. Things like this help give me my stationery fix so I don’t entirely feel the need to plan another wedding and all the lovely paper details that go with it. That being said, is anyone else completely obsessed with this vellum bellyband (look closely at the gray invitation)?? Eeks!
And this sweet woodland baby announcement???

Off to the National Stationery Show
Next, we made our way to The Javits Center. The building was buzzing with stationery lovers… and bonus, we got to walk around on pink floors 🙂
Our friends at Smitten on Paper had the most gorgeous envelope liner display. I’m such a sucker for a classic invitation paired with vintage flowers and a colored envelope. They’re just so fun to get in the mail! Also, I want to wrap this handmade silk ribbon around EVERYTHING, yes everything. It’s the perfect compliment to pockets, invitations, and programs. I’m so excited for our samples to arrive so we can show it off! Also, don’t be surprised when you find me snuggling with it at my desk.
Until our next trip, farewell NYC!
Thank you for the most beautiful sunny day… we were so nervous we’d have to walk around the city in the rain like last year. Clunky umbrellas on crowded streets — not super fun.
xoxo, Fat Cat
