So the party’s over. You’re back from your honeymoon and still on cloud nine from all the fun you had and all the compliments you received about your dress, the band and those gorgeous ceremony programs. Now it’s time to sit back, relax and figure out what to do with all your newfound spare time, right? Ummm, not exactly. Pump the brakes for a second, there’s still one more important project to cross off your list… your thank you notes.
Make Sure It's Handwritten
Now is the time to design your thank you notes (if you haven’t done so already) and handwrite thoughtful messages to your guests. This might sound daunting, but it certainly doesn’t have to be. Short and sweet messages do the trick, but make sure they’re handwritten. Remember, your guests spent a lot of time and energy traveling to your event and choosing a gift for you so the best way to express your gratitude is with a personalized note.
“Short and sweet messages do the trick, just make sure they’re handwritten.”
When to Order
It’s best to order your thank you notes at the same time as your invitations so you don’t have to think about it later. Obviously, if you prefer a photo thank you note, we’ll wait until you receive your photos back from the photographer (usually a month or two after the wedding).
Fat Cat Tip!
We recommend ordering extra thank you notes so you can use them as personal stationery later… unless you're using a photo of course. Sending wedding photo notes years after your wedding would be weird.
